Synopsis:

​

[DAIMYO OKUDAIRO]*40-60s, male, Japanese. As the daimyo of Himeji Castle province, he is a strict and demanding father who instills traditional values in his sons through rigorous competition. His rigid expectations shape the destinies of his children. Okudairo embodies the stoic gravitas of a seasoned leader shaped by war and wisdom. His demeanor is authoritative, reflecting a life dedicated to samurai virtues. His speech is formal and eloquent, often laced with philosophical undertones that reveal a deep connection to cultural heritage. PLEASE NOTE IF ACTOR SPEAKS FLUENT JAPANESE. SUPPORTING LEAD. The salary range for this role is SCALE + 10% per session.

[KIYOSHI] – 20s – 30s, male. Japanese. Kiyoshi is a composed and disciplined samurai who speaks with respect and measured confidence. His actions are deliberate, reflecting deep-rooted honor and a calm demeanor in the face of adversity. HE IS presented as the chosen heir after a series of competitions against his twin brother Kenji, he grows into a samurai warrior who must confront familial conflict and external threats. He is calm, collected, and controlled, which serves him well in leadership and combat. PLEASE NOTE IF ACTOR SPEAKS FLUENT JAPANESE. SUPPORTING, The salary range for this role is SCALE + 10% per session.

[KENJI] – 20s – 30s, male. Japanese. Defined by his impulsive and emotional nature, he loses his birthright to Kiyoshi and vanishes, only to return as a ninja assassin. His journey from outcast to ally against their mutual enemies highlights his complex relationship with his brother and his own inner turmoil. His demeanor shifts from hopeful to embittered as he faces continuous setbacks. He oscillates between formality reflective of his upbringing and raw emotion stemming from betrayal and loss.  PLEASE NOTE IF ACTOR SPEAKS FLUENT JAPANESE. LEAD. The salary range for this role is $2500 per session.

[YOUNG KENJI] – 13-15 years old, male. Japanese. He is a privileged child who becomes a disgraced son and easily becomes quite vengeful. He is torn between familial loyalty and personal ambition, which he often lets lead him in the wrong direction.  PLEASE NOTE IF ACTOR SPEAKS FLUENT JAPANESE. LEAD. The salary range for this role is SCALE + 10% per session.

[YOUNG KIYOSHI] – 13-15 years old, male. Japanese He is a loyal son, who understands his place in the family and the legacy that his father has set up for them all.
